For a long time, I had never actually understood the appeal of NYC. In movies, it’s depicted as this place where you could literally find and/or even create your own opportunities and become rich and successful. And that’s so cool - but part of me didn’t believe it. But as many times as I visited NYC, I’ve learned that you can do anything you want there. There is something for everyone. EVERYONE. For me, NYC has been about the art and the food and I think it will remain that way (as long as the prices there are as high as they are).
Living, even BEING in New York City is like stepping into a movie that never ends. It’s chaotic, exciting, and exhausting all at once, but that’s what makes it NYC. You wake up to the sounds of sirens, honking cabs and people hustling on the streets, and before you know it, you’re sucked in and part of the rush. Each borough has its own aura - Brooklyn feels creative, Manhattan reminds me of the rich and only the rich, and Queens is where you find the best food, hands down (I don’t think I’ve ever been to the Bronx so I can’t speak on it).
