The thing is - when I was younger, Dubai was at the top of my bucket list. I had really fell in love with Dubai after watching Fast and Furious 7, even though some of the movie actual takes place in Abu Dhabi, but at 14, when the movie came out, I apparently had no sense of geography. Anyway, I absolutely idolized Dubai, and thought anyone that lived or worked or was from Dubai was literally famous.
Dubai is all about materialism, and the latest everything. I would go as far as to say it’s probably another concrete jungle after NYC… just… cleaner (I love NYC for the most part). As I got older, I didn’t really understand the appeal of going to Dubai, since it had no cultural heritage or really any major history behind it. And I still stand by that. However, I was blessed enough to see what Dubai has done with the latest technology as well as witnessed Dubai extravagant lifestyle. And for that I am grateful.
