Barcelona was our third and final stop of our mini Spain tour before we headed back to Madrid to catch our flight back home. Similar to Madrid - it had a sense of city culture that was not present in Valencia. Things in Barcelona were definitely more expensive than the other cities - that’s for sure. But fortunately, we were able to see all of the sites that we planned on seeing, and almost all of them were really accessible through public transport. Barcelona is also very walkable if you are not comfortable with using public transport (although I can assure you, it is very simple and signs are really easy to follow despite the language barrier!). In my opinion, Barcelona was definitely more lively and bright compared to Madrid.
